The search to better understand and connect with the beliefs and behaviors of consumers has led many brands and agencies to hire “expert” influencers to consult on a wide array of topics. These include industry insights, product development, platform features, membership programs, brand experience, full-funnel marketing, customer service, sustainability initiatives as well as high-level aspirations such as brand positioning and purpose.
This type of co-creation is designed to uncover hidden insights and disruptive ideas and to gather new perspectives stemming from the faithful and familiar relationships influencers hold with their sector-focused micro-communities.

These teens and twentysomethings will patiently explain some of the features of Gen Z culture that may be baffling to boomer bosses, as well as pointing out that today’s young people aren’t quite as different as some pop management gurus would have people believe.
“Authenticity” is the buzzword for gen Z as consumers, and Oz believes that firms have relied too much on the belief that giving their product to a few social media influencers would be enough. But too often audiences don’t believe the promotions because they feel inauthentic.

While some might scoff at young staff’s aversion to a rigid working pattern, a glance to anthropology might prove Gen Z has a point when they complain about traditional workplace schedules.
Sleep experts, for example, are concerned about the impact of forcing a human to wake up at a certain time—and subsequently back to sleep—as opposed to allowing a person’s body clock to synchronize with natural daylight hours.

Gen Z is networking more than any other generation on LinkedIn—and they’re networking in new ways.
Historically, young people would create LinkedIn accounts because their schools told them it was a good idea for their careers.
